Pie Sales for Charity

Each year since 2004, fifth and sixth grade students have spent a November afternoon assembling pies in the school cafeteria. Douglas families have the chance to order pies for their holiday tables or to donate to the Hogan Regional Center residence for intellectually disabled adults. In December, a small group of students who have made pies are selected to go shopping for gifts for underprivileged families using the proceeds from the sale. In the past we have sold as many as 200 pies!
