Douglas Day, Wednesday, June 1st! Volunteers needed!

This annual field day is a Douglas tradition, and tons of fun! Each class divides into four color-coded teams for a morning of events like scooter racing, construction hat race, bucket brigades, parachute games, and three-legged races. Everyone gets a chance to dunk a teacher or parent in the dunk tank! Popcorn will be available.

We need volunteers to make the day run smoothly, and we’re asking for parents help. Can you spare an hour during the morning of June 1st (rain date June 8th)? Or willing to be dunked?

New this year, we also need volunteers who have a trailer hitch on their car to pick up / drop off the dunk tanks. Please see the link below to see the volunteer positions and to sign up for a time slot(s). You can sign up on your own or grab a buddy to work with. We thank you in advance for helping to make this year’s Douglas Day a success! Click LINK FOR DOUGLAS DAY to sign up!

Please remember that anyone volunteering for Douglas Day needs to have a CORI form on file at the Douglas office. (It’s quick and easy! Just stop by the office with a photo ID.)

Suggested items to remember; sunscreen, sunglasses, hat, and water bottle (no glass water bottles, please).
